Soundy Audio

Spring is springing!

by on Apr.27, 2017, under Recent Happenings At Soundy Audio

SoundyAudio is still alive and well. I have been busy with music licensing and continue to move deeper in that market. I have also been doing a fair share of mixing and mastering projects, but unfortunately for the web site needs, none of that can be used still (copyrights and such).

As a side note, I have been also getting busier doing live performing work, which is a much missed blessing for me. Hopefully I will have some live audio to share soon!

Please let me know if there is anything you may need SoundyAudio for. There have been many upgrades in software, hardware, and “ear-ware” (I keep getting better and better! Ha)

Music Licensing

by on Mar.18, 2016, under Recent Happenings At Soundy Audio

Due to a slow audio economy and my lack of aggressive advertising, SoundyAudio has not been as productive as I had hoped regarding making audio for various clients….

But there IS progress. I have been working extremely hard with creating and submitting music to many licensing opportunities. Much of it is through a wonderful service named They are a one-of-a-kind “middle-man” business, bridging the formerly HUGE and ominous gap between writers/producers/artists and many music industry markets. I also have a few other self-generated sources, so my audio future is looking much brighter and much quicker.

Check out the current ever-changing library of interesting things I am doing…

More soon!

Boo To Deadbeat Clients!

by on Mar.18, 2016, under Recent Happenings At Soundy Audio

I understand that times are tough. I also understand that I tend to have a more-friendly-than-normal way of doing business. But I do not understand when I have put quite a bit of work into something and then have a client walk away from the project and just vanish…..

There is no video game music like I had hinted at……

Winter Is Audio Time

by on Dec.01, 2015, under Recent Happenings At Soundy Audio

Now that winter is settling here in Minnesota, I am “hunkering down” and ramping up the studio.  I’ve had some great fun doing some odd-ball projects (like Maddy Hamilton, an amazing young singer), as well as some soon-to-be revealed audio for an upcoming video game(Sorry, NDA stuff right now, so I am not allowed to share any details).  I am also just starting a collaborative venture with an interesting artist named Albert McKay, a fine blend between Zappa and quirky symphonic music.  Check out his soundcloud page (this is all pre-SoundyAudio…

Also a great time for new projects. It doesn’t matter what genre it is, how big or small it is, and it doesn’t even matter how much you have prepared. I am ready and excited to start in on your work! Contact me please!

Maddy Hamilton

by on Dec.01, 2015, under Recent Happenings At Soundy Audio

Maddy is a 15 year old talented young singer in Minnesota that I recently had the pleasure of working with. These recordings are live in her living room, and are covers. I consider these warm-ups for what is to come. Check out her conviction, her honesty, and the awesome delivery! Keep your ears peeled for this, there will be more of her very soon!

Album of African music officially released!

by on Nov.12, 2014, under Recent Happenings At Soundy Audio

After almost 3 years of hard work and extreme love of music, the Soundy Audio and Remixinhambane collaboration has been released into the wild.

From Mozambique To Minnesota

The album I did is piggy-backed with a remix album that used the same vocal parts. It’s an amazing back-story and well worth the read! But in short, the Remixinhambane project is a global effort to bring some awesome vocalists from Inhambane Mozambique into more of a world music spotlight by calling all musicians and producers to take one or two vocal parts and make a full production around them. I was so inspired by the project that I requested to do an entire album. My album, titled “From Mozambique To Minnesota”,  is more traditional contemporary African music, as well as some Soucous, Reggae, hip-hop, funk, and blues. Check it out HERE.

The remix album kicks some serious butt as well, so I encourage you to buy a few copies of both albums. They make great gifts for all of your friends and family. Heck, give these albums to your enemies and watch years of animosity melt away, healed by the power of positive music!

The Slow Blade- New Mastering Project

by on Mar.14, 2013, under Recent Happenings At Soundy Audio

I had the intense pleasure of getting to master this new EP from London band The Slow Blade. This stuff rocks. It’s raw, unfettered, and is all about the untamed parts of living.  It is still to-be-released, but it should be dropping soon.  Check back here for updates. But until then, check out the music here!

Hysterical Preservation Society

by on Jan.01, 2013, under Recent Happenings At Soundy Audio

I had the extreme pleasure and honor to master the new album “The Lust Boat” by this great and fun band, The Hysterical Preservation Society.  I did some guitars, bass, and mastering for the first album too, and I just have to say that in the world of “same-old-same-old” music, these guys are a breath of fresh and sexy air. If you were ever curious about what it would sound like if there was a soundtrack to a movie about sexy robots taking over the earth, wait no more. You can grab this from their Bandcamp page RIGHT HERE.

This is super fun and funky music. And we were worried about the Mayan calender……. Ha. By the way, this is a free download right now. I don’t know how long it will be free, so go get it now!
